SGA Mission Statement 2011 – 2012
The Student Government Association (SGA) of Loyola University Maryland is dedicated to enriching students’ sense of community while constantly improving the quality of each individual’s educational experience. SGA represents every student in regard to his or her academic and social interests and will design, fund, and implement new initiatives, with the expressed goal of creating a strong, diverse, and educated community. Through dedication, service, and integrity, SGA seeks to accomplish our mission while inspiring a sense of pride in all that is Loyola.

If you have any thoughts about what you would like to see on the Loyola Undergraduate SGA website send and e-mail to sgatechnology@loyola.edu.

Alexander Lucaci

As one of your Class of 2013 senators, I will be committed to maximizing our Loyola experience during our senior year. I am a forthright and efficient negotiator, and am able to manage and organize events in a timely manner. I believe that we can make our last year here at Loyola by far and away our best, and I invite everyone to be as involved as possible in all our upcoming events, on and off campus.

Rachel Williams

Class of 2013, my name is Rachel Williams and I am running for Senior Class Assembly! With our final year rapidly approaching, I realized that this pivotal time should be filled with hard work and lots of fun. As an assembly member I would love to express and share your interests to the rest of SGA about what could make this last year the most memorable one yet. My experience on campus include: Relay for Life, Free the Slaves, AAF, and The Communications Honor Society. Being involved in these organizations has helped me grow to be an involved community member of Loyola for the past 3 years. I would love nothing more than to serve you, class of 2013! So vote Rachel Williams for Senior Class Assembly!

Andrew Mazur

Sophomore Class Senate Candidate
Class of 2015

I’m Andrew Mazur and I’m running for sophomore class Senate. Albert Einstein famously said, “Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results”.  I believe it is time drastic policy reform for a better Loyola tomorrow. I would like to see shuttles running through out the night to popular off campus locations, more food options and safer, more understanding drug and alcohol policies.  Vote for Mazur, we could be amazing.

Kevin Zelaya

Sophomore Class Senate Candidate
Class of 2015

Class of 2015! My name is Kevin Zelaya, and I want to be a part of your sophomore senate. A senator of the class of 2015 should posses exemplary characteristics such as eagerness to represent such a great class, openness to growth, positivity in every approach to all matters concerning the position, and cooperation to work with others in order to make everyone’s Sophomore year successful and worthwhile. I can assure that if voted into the Class of 2015’s senate, I will listen to all the concerns and ideas that students have and will attempt to make our Sophomore year one to remember.

Nicole Kiraly

Sophomore Class Senate Candidate
Class of 2015

Hey Class of 2015! Elect me, NICOLE KIRALY to represent our class on Senate for the 2012-2013 school year. I am a dedicated, creative, and open-minded person who is eager to get involved with SGA. Next year the Senate will be concentrating on making even more visible changes for students on campus. As a Senator I would be advocating for the entire class of 2015, so I would be available to listen to any student who has any concerns. Please just take a second, and vote for me, Nicole Kiraly for a seat on SGA Senate!

Zachary A. Peters

Sophomore Class Senate Candidate
Class of 2015

My name is Zach Peters and I am running for RE-ELECTION as Senator for the Class of 2015. Since high school, Student Government has always played a large role in my education experience. I served as President of my high school’s student government for two years and served on many delegations for county and state student governments. I was fortunate enough to be elected last fall as Senator for our class and I am running for re-election to continue my service and work.

At Loyola, my first goal is to help bring an alcohol amnesty policy to our campus, which I have been instrumental in advocating for as a member of the Responsible Action Protocol (RAP) Committee. Student safety should be our first priority, not judicial consequences. I also plan on enhancing communications with students, staff, SGA members, and administration.

Together we can change Loyola for the better. Thank you.

Brendan William Litavis

Sophomore Class Senate Candidate
Class of 2015

My name is Brendan Litavis and I am from Hopkinton, Massachusetts. In high school, I loved getting involved. From sports to Peer Leaders to tutoring, I always strive to have an impact on the surrounding community. At Loyola, I am looking to do much of the same, which is why I am running for the Class Senate position. As a determined, hard-working, and caring individual, I am excited to work with the other members of SGA to hear the voice of the student body, work on policy issues at the university, and promote unity throughout our class and community.

Jesse Headman

Sophomore Class Senate Candidate
Class of 2015

As your current Freshmen Class Senator I, Jesse Headman, have now had the experience of working with others to improve Loyola’s policies and issues that impact the student body as a whole. Many initiatives and policies have begun or finished this past year that I was able to be apart of, which provided me with a wealth of experience. As your fellow classmate I walk the same pathways, ride the same shuttles, eat the same food, and realize the complaints we all have. I am running for senate to improve our experience at Loyola to make it the best possible.

Elijah Kohli

Sophomore Class Assembly Candidate
Class of 2015

My name is Elijah Kohli and I am running for sophomore class assembly. My goal is to improve our social experience at Loyola by generating new and exciting events throughout the year. One idea is to plan themed sophomore parties voted on by the members of our class.  I aim to include everyone’s ideas into the SGA process by reaching out to our peers with monthly open forums for students to get involved in event planning. Bottom line: I would make it my mission to exceed expectations and ignite change towards an unforgettable year.

Thomas Bagley

Sophomore Class Assembly Candidate
Class of 2015

As a member of the student assembly I would really like to improve on what we were able to accomplish freshman year.  Next year, we should have more class oriented events to share and bolster fun and class pride.  As a representative of the student body, I would be completely open to suggestions and will take every person’s ideas and comments sincerely to enhance every one of ours experiences here at Loyola.  I am excited to have the opportunity to continue and make our time here at Loyola the best ever!
